Easter at Palo Duro Canyon

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend...I didn't get to go home as I had planned...but God is good and I was able to spend the day with a family from my church. We had lunch at Abuelos Mexican Restaurant and then went hiking at Palo Duro Canyon. It is amazing to me that in the midst of the flat panhandle of west Texas there is such an amazing, beautiful canyon. The weather was great and the company was energizing....we had to wait an hour to get through the gate...we weren't the only ones with the idea of going to the canyon on such a gorgeous day....but let me tell ya, it was well worth the wait...although sitting in a van for an hour with six anxious kids was a bit of a test =]
